Subject: New Member Introduction

Hey everyone.  I'm Brian and am fairly new to NYCGoth.com.  I've been looking 
at the page and using it's resources for about a year now since I discovered 
it back in my first year of college.  I rarely went into the chat and used 
different nicknames everytime.  I've recently been visiting more often and 
the nickname I use all the time now is DeathsDuet.

I'm about six feet tall and weigh about 180 pounds...give or take a few.  I 
have brown eyes.  My hair is split in the middle with an undercut.  The 
undercut is a dark brown.  The top of my head starts out a dark blonde and 
fades to almost a brown color.  I have one piercing...upper left ear.  I 
generally wear a ring with celtic knots on my right pinky.  The right ring 
finger has a full finger claw ring in the shape of a dragon.  My left hand I 
wear a ring that looks like a stone wall on my fing finger along with a small 
claw ring that has a few red plastic "jewels".  I normally wear a necklace 
that is silver and has an imp holding a black orb as well as a necklace made 
of black rubber and a griffin hangs from that one.  

I live in Queens and attended High School at...::shudders::  Martin Vn Buren 
High School.  When I graduated I went to Polytechnic University down in 
Brooklyn and have recently transferred to Queens College back here in Queens 
Village.  I don't know what I'm going to study and shit like that...but I'm 
very into computers and music.

I currently play in a band called Headtrip as well as run our webpage.  For 
the band I play bass...may do backup vocals...as well as all around "lifter 
of heavy shit" for the band.  I also do roadie work Tharsis Rise, another 
local Queens band.  My band draws its influences from all different forms of 
music.  Our influences touch upon classical music composers such as Beethoven 
and Bach...jazz...and the starting from the 60s up to current.  Though we 
draw upon all forms of music (except rap, R&b, their affiliates and country) 
we do have a very heavy sound and have been compared to bands like Machine 
Head, Metallica and Black Sabbath.  My playing style has been called a mix of 
grunge and goth playing styles.  My musical interests touch upon just about 
every style and form.  I'll listen to just about everything and anything.

My other interests...include the computer.  I started messing with software 
and screwing around with viruses about four or five years ago and I've been 
interested in them since...doing all sorts of things with my computer...even 
screwing it up on multiple accounts.  I also enjoy roleplaying a lot.  I 
roleplay basically on AOL and offline.  I don't do much because there are not 
a lot of people who like to do that stuff locally.  Other than that I have 
normal interests...just having a good time.  I'm basically up for trying or 
doing anything if it appears to be enjoyable.  

I currently hold two jobs.  One is at a local retail store...CVS.  I'm a 
shift manager there and only work there once in a while.  My other job is in 
downtown manhattan.  I work just south of the east village on wall st.  And 
no I'm not one of those prissy, well dressed, greedy stock guys.  I could 
really care less if the damn thing fell apart tomorrow.  I work on computers 
and head the mapping department that helps to keep on top of certain 
companies and what they're doing in downtown manhattan, as well as street 
vendors.
