Subject: beki in the land of sun




hi! i'm beki.....a new york city girl wanna-be, i guess you could say.
after a short first-time trip to nyc (labor day 1997) of only 40 hours, i
decided to one day move to the city where i was conceived!

in the meantime, i'm here in south florida, doing freelance graphic web and
print design (http://www.beki.com) and enjoying my 2 daughters (4 and 6)
and my new divorced life. my birthday is 6/18/64.

other things i love to do are club dancing (at manray/pompano bch most
tuesday nights and the kitchen club/south beach every other sat night),
eating vegetarian (well, exception for seafood and eggs), reading trade
magazines, not bothering anyone, getting through mountains of patterns for
my pattern site (http://www.sewingpatterns.com), keeping up with my
ethereal site (http://www.etherealgoth.com), taking modern dance class for
the first time in my life and loving it, eating sushi rolls whenever i can,
daydreaming all the time, meeting people on and offline, thrift-store
shopping and fantasizing.

i'm going and going from the second i wake up without rest during the day,
and sleep like a rock when i hit the pillow. i'm a happy camper who can be
silly and weird when i meet people i really hit it off with, otherwise i
guess i come across as conservative and reserved. i'm cautiously open, but
if you strike the right chord in me, i will be your (and many other's)
truest friend forever. my girls and my 2 brothers and their families (you
know sam and lisa) are my most favorite people in my life, however.

musically i tend to listen to ethereal goth (black tape for a blue girl :),
love spirals downwards, mira, changelings, this ascension, claire voyant,
my scarlet life) when in the mood for quiet, inspiring or romantic music
(most of the time!) , otherwise i'm listening to synthpop (ikon, etc) or
light? industrial like attrition, or evils' toy or and one (or is that
synthpop or ebm or? i'm actually really bad with these categories), and
other bands like curve, o yuki conjugate, etc.
