From: FOOMAN1973@aol.com Date: Tue, 18 Jul 2000 03:01:24 EDT Subject: So here's my introduction all over again... To: NYCgoth-L@necronomi.com Since it seems intro postings are in order, here's mine. I'll try not to bore you, here goes. My name is David Fooden, I'm 27 (Cancer), I dress in black leather pants a lot and am generally weird in what I think is a good way. I've lived in NYC for over 8 years now, been involved in the goth scene for about as long, and came upon this list about 9 months ago. I came to NYC in '92 to go to School of Visual Arts (have a B.F.A from there) and had to stay. I'm an illustrator and designer, with a large body of my work in the role-playing and card game industry (White Wolf, and that sort of thing) though I've done my share of boring commercial illustration too. I'm considering going for my master's degree in fall of 2001. If you're interested, my little needs-to-be-updated website is at: www.aetherco.com/dreamcatcher I listen to a wide and eclectic range of music, some goth and industrial, some not. If it stirs something in me, whether it be a laugh, a cry, or the urge to go out and stomp on something, then I'll give it a spin. Here's a brief list of some of the shit that makes my life worthwhile; painting, clubbing, tasty beverages, redheads, movies, comic books, rpg's, video games, computers, music, learning new graphics apps (I'm a Mac user, what else am I gonna do? I want games I get my Playstation), all things dealing with the macabre and horror, Tim Burton, Tom Waits, Rocky Horror, anime, museums, black leather and PVC. And from what I've read on here it looks like I'm in good company. We now return you to your regularly scheduled goofing off at work. ~ Darkwave Dave ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- "The depressing thing about this city is that the artists are even more bourgeois than the fucking bourgeoisie." ~ Rimbaud, Total Eclipse
