hey...just moved to NYC two weeks ago (from LA) so i figure tis time to 
delurk...

let's see...usually clad in a leather longcoat, black jeans/t-shirt and lil 
wire glasses...i have choppy blue-black hair and blue eyes...live in a lil 
loft in the EastVillage next to a stone church...

music: Wumpscut, Cure (saw them four times last spring), Haujobb/Cleen, 
assorted other goth/industrial favs along with a healthy dose of the Pixies, 
Sparklehorse, Eno, etc...

fav authors/poets...Rilke, Thomas Hardy, James Ellroy, Sylvia Plath,  
Elizabeth Barrett Browning, PoppyZBrite...

fav movies...NightmareBeforeXmas, Don'tLookNow, BartonFink, NearDark, Rebel 
Without a Cause, Sweet Smell of Success, Leolo, lots of dario argento films, 
Chinatown, lots of charlie chaplin, Akira...

fav city besides NYC: NewOrleans -- went there for two weeks last Halloween 
and tromped through cemeteries and parties and shot a lot of super8 b&w 
film...and Los Angeles, for all its ickyness has some fun things to do: like 
midnight boogieboarding in the crashing surf and moonlight...

i drink bottles and bottles of red wine...consume copious quantities of 
sushi, korean food, and raw oysters and i cook a lot of mediterranean food...

jobwise, i'm a screenwriter (right now writing "LostGirls" -- the "LostBoys" 
sequel/remake)...and i take a lot of b&w photographs for fun...

dats all for now...see some of you at the picnic perhaps...also, i'll prob be 
hosting some pre-Batcave cocktail parties fairly soon...over and out...Laith
