Let's see...where do I begin? My name is Mercedes (no, I would not like to 
see your Ferrari...), I am 26 years old, and I have lived on the lower east 
side of New York City for a little over two years now....I am a native of 
Dallas,Texas {no accent, thank you :)}Love brought me here, and now passion 
is calling me away...I will soon reside in San Jose, California and attend 
Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in San Francisco...I am studying 
to be a fashion merchandiser and currently work as a free lance photo 
stylist....I also model in my spare time, though not professionally due to my 
being "vertically challenged" (4'11" to be exact)  I have been on this list 
for a little under two years and basically became aware of all the places to 
go because of it.  I frequented LBV and Click and Drag at the old Mother, and 
have been to the Batcave only once...I am a Xorvia member ahd have attended 
many of their fetish parties (sorry, I only like to dress the part) I live to 
see, feel, look, and experience aesthetic beauty in every way...I paint, 
draw, and people watch frequently ...I plan to change the stigma the word 
"fashion" has attached to it, and revolutionize the modeling world as 
well...I believe there are so many incredibly beautiful people in all shapes, 
colors, and heights out there who need to be on magazine covers rather than 
these cookie cutter models I have been seeing lately....I could go on forever 
on the subject...Anyhow, my musical interests range from VNV Nation and 
Wolfsheim to the Cure and Peter Murphy to Loreena McKennit and Ella 
Fitzgerald....I have been dressing "goth" (gee I hate that word) for about 7 
years now and I range from romantic, ethereal, fetish, and glam depending on 
my mood...The guys who work in the stationary store downstairs love to hang 
outside in the morning to see what I'll be wearing that day....I can be 
identified by my extra full, waist length curly hair dyed reddish orange and 
streaked electric violet...and always wearing violet sunglasses and some sort 
of high heels...I have a son who is almost 10 years old and to my dismay is a 
big fan of Marilyn Manson (argh) and the Cure.  (He gets the Cure from me, 
the Manson must be from the other side of the family, ha ha) i must say I 
look strange at PTA meetings...I have been the best mom I can be, but confess 
I am not the Mom type. We have been through our moments, but overall he's the 
best son anyone could have...and whoa, is he going to break hearts with those 
green eyes of his! That's all I can think of for now....If anyone has any 
information regarding fun things to do in San Francisco, feel free to write 
me on or off list and I love to chat if anyone feels they have something they 
need of their chest! ha ha...
