From: "Dreitlein, Suzanne" To: "'NYCgoth-L@necronomi.com'" Subject: Hello there - aka introduction Date: Tue, 18 Jul 2000 10:39:36 -0400 Here it is - since we are all getting to know each other again. To start with, a little about myself. I am 26 (the second annual 25th year for me), woman, medium height & size (thanks to a liberal amount of dessert items everyday), and married. I am a web designer for a nice little non profit business research company. I am pale (comes with being German), blonde (comes with using Ms. Clairol), and very happily married. For more about us, you can peep my web-site. After that it gets hard. For simplicity's sake I have made a nice organized list. Hey, it's the German in me. I'm many things, eclectic you could say. I like music, will spare you the super long list since as a musician I like a varied range of artists. Insight is my musical project -- will be playing out soon. I like literature, there's a long list for this too since I also write. I like art including but not limited to pre-raphealite, impressionism, and medieva/baroque styles. Any old architecture, traditional domestic arts, antique furniture and crafts. I like producing these things as well as admiring them. Although my explorations in oil paint have been comical at best, I make a mean doily. I like romantic clothing, old and new, and am an accomplished costume designer/producer. I definitely have an overdeveloped sense of dress-up. I like the Powerpuff Girls, and if I was a cartoon, it'd be Bubbles. I've always been interested in historic type things, born that way, but didn't realize until about 5 years ago that there were places I could go to outwardly display my interests(costumes) and meet people who were also interested in similar things (history, literature, costuming, good music). There are a good deal of things about me that are sterotypically gothic but I would not say I am particularily a goth. I am a romantic, esthetically non-conformist, socially responsible, honest, down to earth type person who is pretty much a happy camper since aside from the high cost of living in NYC, I have nothing to be upset about any more. Don't let this fool you, I had a hellish childhood and when provoked, I can recall all my former angst. Ooopps, I did it again. Long e-mail. I'm such a chatterbox. Oh well, to spare everyone of an even longer intro, please go to my web-site if you need to know more. I hope this is ok. Suzanne D. http://www.angelfire.com/journal/halo69eklektikchik
