From: "Tony Johnston" To: Subject: Re-Intro: Tony Date: Tue, 18 Jul 2000 14:43:51 -0400 X-Priority: 3 I'm in New York for a couple of months working on an ebooks project for Barnes&Noble.com. Microsoft sent me from Seattle as a consultant about a month ago and I've been having a should-be-illegal-to-have-this-much-fun good time. Me: 28, black hair, blue eyes, several piercings and a tattoo. Been living in Seattle for almost 10 years and hope to go back there some day. I own the domains chernabog.net (the demon from Fantasia) and pagans.net, and run a couple of mailing lists. One is called SeaBuff and it's for a group of us in Seattle who get together every Tuesday to drink, snack, get silly, watch Buffy, then go dancing. The other is a list for discussion of all things Pagan by anyone who joins. My musical tastes: current infatuations are Apoptygma Berzerk, Funker Vogt (and side projects), Gary Numan, the Creatures, and Neubauten. Ongoing interests are, of course, Dead Can Dance, His Name is Alive, The Smiths, The Cure, Ministry, Siouxsie, and Sky Cries Mary, among others. Guilty pleasures are Dixie Chicks and Cyndi Lauper. Things I do that you probably don't: Juggle firey torches, have a motorcycle as my sole source of transportation, regret my Mormon upbringing, and raise opium poppies. Less unique things I do: I *love* gardening. I have poppies, herbs, tomatoes, roses, trees, ivy, and some kind of viney thing, all growing either in my apartment or on my deck. I like yardwork. Which is weird since I don't have a yard. And now that I think about it, all my plants have probaby died since I've been here. :( I spent an evening two weeks ago dinking wine out of a gatorade bottle and catching fireflies barefoot in central park. That was invigorating and silly. I like clubs, but I don't very often dance. One of my favorite things is to go buy sexy new clothes and then go out wearing them. There are lots of places to shop here and lots of places to go out so I've been happy. At work, I totally get off on web development and don't understand why not everyone does it. Sometimes I can't believe I get paid so much to do something so easy and fun. So, me. Tony
