Byzantium is an alternative to the stereotypical dark music club environment. A thrilling blend of lounge, clubnite, art collective, and speakeasy; Byzantium is rich in texture and content that transcends scenes... and the gulfs of time.

It is a social environment where you can cast off the burdens of the weekly mundanity and swim in heady incense, exotic dark sounds, and meet hundreds of fascinating people— or just let your imagination wander.

Through an entrance lit by torches a stone staircase descends into the earth, leading to a unique and breathtaking environment. Labyrinthine, cavelike, haunting, filled with wrought iron lanterns and candles and mist, even featuring an artificial waterfall; Byzantium evokes the imagery of Arabian Nights along with that of the Dark Ages. Yet the ultraviolet lights and hypnotic lasers take it into the next millennium and far beyond.

The outer fringes of dark music, merchants of wonderous artifacts, tarot readers, performances, and bellydancers are available to delight your senses every time. Byzantium is unconventional and mysterious... you never know what will happen from week to week, except that a brilliant and delightful time will be had by all.
