The "Eerie Pubs"

Website: http://www.eerie.com

Theme bars with a spooked-up atmosphere. Great decor... paintings with moving eyes, horror-film stuff, creepy music. But there's something that keeps these places from being cool, and it's not just the clueless "jocks and touristas swilling beer" crowd. For all their spooky atmo, these places are definitely known for actively discouraging the black-clad gothic crowd. (With the exception of the Slaughtered Lamb at brunchtime, which is quite goth-friendly and definitely a bargain... food plus 2 beers/ciders for nine dollars or so.) Drinks are expensive, but they do have a very large selection of good beers and ciders on tap.
